ਉਂਗਲਾ ਤੇ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਣੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਬਿ੍ਟਿਸ਼ ਏਅਰਵੇਜ਼ ਦੇ ਪਾਇਲਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਨਖ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਾਧੇ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਦੋ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਹੜਤਾਲ 9 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ । ਉਹ ਅੱਜ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਵੀ ਜਰੀ ਰਹੀ। ਹਜਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਾਤਰੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਏਅਰ ਪੋਰਟ ਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। 1700 ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਫਲਾਈਟ ਨਾ ਚੱਲ ਸਕਿਆ।ਪਾਇਲਟ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਏਅਰ ਵੇਜ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਦਰ ਘਟਵਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮੈਨਜਮੈਂਟ ਦੀ ਗਲਤੀ ਹੈ। 9 ਤਰੀਕ ਨੂੰ ਤਕਰੀਬ 40 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਦਾ ਘਾਟਾ ਕੰਪਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਟਾਈਮ ਇਹ ਸੱਟਰਾਈਕ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇ ਗੀ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਬਦੇਗਾ। ਦੋਨੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਤਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ਗਾ।ਇਸ ਉਮੀਦ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਕਾਰਿਆ ਵਇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਈਏ ਕੇ ਬਲਪਾ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ 11.5 ਫ਼ੀਸਦੀ ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲਾ ਤਨਖ਼ਾਹ ਵਾਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਫ਼ੀਸਦੀ ਬੋਨਸ ਰੱਦ ਹੋਣ ਬਾਅਦ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਈ ਸੀ । ਜੋ ਇਸ ਸਾਰੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ।ਬੀ. ਏ. ਦੇ ਕੈਪਟਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਭਗ 1 ਲੱਖ 67000 ਪੌਡ ਅਤੇ 16000 ਪੌਡ ਹੋਰ ਭੱਤਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।

A teenager in the UK has gone blind and deaf after living off a diet of chips, crisps and sausages for up to a decade in a case believed to be the first of its kind in the country. The 17-year-old, who has not been named, ate only chips, Pringles, sausages, processed ham, French fries and white bread, making him malnourished, Bristol Live reported. According to the teenager's mother, her son began going off his meals when he was about seven years old and used to eat only junk food. He told doctors he did not like the "texture" of fruits and vegetables. The case came to light after it was written about by Dr Denize Atan, from the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, in the Annals of Internal Medicine journal. The boy began to lose his hearing at the age of 14. His eyesight also quickly deteriorated and he has now been left with no job and no social life as a result, said his mother. The woman said that when her son was in primary school, he used to come back home with his packed lunch untouched. "I would make him nice sandwiches and put an apple or other fruit in and he wouldn't eat any of it. His teachers became concerned too. "His brother and sister have never stopped eating. They love everything. But he was just as fit and healthy as them. He has always been skinny so we had no weight concerns. You hear about junk food and obesity all the time—but he was as thin as a rake," said the woman. The teen is apparently suffering from an eating disorder known as ARFID (avoidant-restrictive food intake disorder). Those suffering from the condition often avoid food with a certain texture, smell, taste or appearance, or only eat it at a certain temperature, according to eating disorder charity Beat. The teenager's lack of nutrition severely damaged his optic nerve, causing a condition known as nutritional optic neuropathy (NON). "We couldn't believe it when we were told what had happened. His sight went downhill very fast - to the point where he is now legally blind. We are told the damage is irreversible; it's been a nightmare," said the boy's mother. Dr Denize Atan, who has been caring for the teenager, said the patient is still eating mostly the same food—although his nutrition has improved through vitamin supplements. The family agreed for the case to be reported in the journal to raise awareness of ARFID and the importance of nutrition for good eye and ear health.

'ਚ ਸ਼ਾਰਟ ਸਰਕਟ ਕਾਰਨ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗ ਗਈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੁੱਖ ਆਸਣ 'ਚ ਪਏ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਪੰਜ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਰੂਪ ਅਗਨ ਭੇਟ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਘਟਨਾ ਸਵੇਰੇ 9 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਘਟਨਾ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਉਦੋਂ ਲੱਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਅੱਗ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਗਈ। ਅੱਗ ਦੇਖਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਰੌਲਾ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਲੋਕ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗ 'ਤੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਪਾਉਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਫਾਇਰ ਬ੍ਰਿਗੇਡ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਕੇ 'ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ ਅੱਗ ਬੁਝਾਊ ਦਸਤੇ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗ 'ਤੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ।

New Delhi,August 2019 -(Jan Shakti News)- Civil Aviation Minister for India Hardeep Singh Puri MP and Commerce & Industry Minister Som Parkash MP were visited in New Delhi by UK Member of Parliament Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi.  He appraised the ministers about the long-pending demand (from the large NRI diaspora and those within the Punjab) for direct flights between Amritsar and London.  The best way to initiate direct flights would be for the national carrier Air India to demonstrate leadership by initiating this route, before other international airlines too realise that it will be hugely beneficial for them and travellers.

Minister Som Parkash said “I certainly favour more direct flights, as that will boost commerce, trade and tourism within the Punjab and neighbouring states.  We listened intently to the details of the demand and my colleague Mr Puri assured MP Dhesi that he will try to ensure it happens at the earliest possible opportunity.” 

Civil Aviation Minister Puri said he will look into the matter with his officials to see what can be done.  He certainly wanted the “Guru ki nagri” (the Guru’s town) Amritsar to progress and become a stronger gateway for north India and beyond. 

MP Dhesi, whose own Slough constituency (close to Heathrow airport) has a lot of Punjabis residing, thanked both Ministers for their time and added, “Since being elected, I have been taking this legitimate demand of the diaspora community to Indian Ministers, because people (especially the elderly and those with young children) do not want the huge inconvenience of time delays, stopovers and changing aircrafts.  In addition to boosting trade, tourism and cultural ties between both nations, it will no doubt prove lucrative for operators, since Amritsar is visited by millions of worshippers/tourists each year and it is high time there was a direct link between the global centre of London and the spiritual centre of Amritsar.”
